Pilkuttu Raja Maha Vihara, which consists of dripped and non-dripped stone caves in an area of about 200 acres, is a historical forested site with many archaeological heritages. That is why this is the largest quarry complex in the Western Province. Some of the places of historical importance are Walagamba Rajamaha Vihara, Maligathenna Viveka Senasana, Vebada Purana Rajamaha Vihara, Anagarika Mahamevna Asapu, Varapalana Tampita statue. Danaukanda is a famous meditation center. Isigilikanda is a temple located on a scenic hilltop. It also includes a Yogashram. My main objective is to improve the public facilities of the people living in the jurisdiction of the Mahara Pradeshiya Sabha, which is rapidly developing, and which is composed of the most beautiful natural beauty, historical local and foreign attractions, and uplift their standard of living.
